Tanta Sila is now a dictatorial despot who is mad with power, she trusts nothing but her own skill in battle, mercilessly eliminating any and all who offend her. She fought on the front line, displaying unparalleled prowess in battle, and was revered by the people for it. She is the strongest and most formidable Tanta who once commanded Athian troops to protect the land from outside threats. Each Tanta dominates a realm in Athia with their own subjects and servants and forms of corruption by the Break. As the most powerful sorceresses in Athia, they pose a very dangerous threat to Frey. However, without warning, the former protectors mysteriously became oppressors, becoming aggressive and hateful.
They were once beloved by the people of Athia, who enjoyed lives of plenty under their guidance.
I want to feel that people lived in that world and that it isn't simply a video game level that was procedurally generated.The Tantas are the former benevolent matriarchs of Athia who each embodies a different virtue and possesses a unique strength. I want Athia to be an interesting place with story to uncover while exploring. I want a reason to get immersed in the world beyond the main story. Just an empty sandbox filled with enemies and combat challenges. In Forspoken i am never interest in the story of the world or in it's environments, because there is nothing there. Honestly just having an incentive to explore the world is enough for me. The main storyline is kind of generic, but the mysteries of the background of the world are enough to get you going and want to understand more of the world.
The gameplay is a big reason too, the variety of tools and approach to the fights makes taking out these big machines super satisfying, especially when you prepare the areas in advance. For one shallow reason : it's really pretty and varied, just walking around in these gorgeous environments feels great.īut from a more engaging standpoint, the game got an insanely detailed world filled with well crafted and unique locations that are filled with a lot of lore that detailed what happened to that world.
